well I took Jack to the Dr. Thur he had been a mess ... spitting up a ton and just really struggling to get it out....well what do you know we have acid reflux...poor little guy it hurts him so much and you can really tell. While we were there they weighed him and he weighs 11lb 7.5oz...which is great ... the Dr said he is gaining GREAT weight ... I would say so considering he is only 3wks old.
Brody had a GREAT birthday party....he LOVED everything he got. I am not kidding this kid absolutely enjoyed everything ... he didn't get one thing that he didn't like. His favorite had to have been the FOOTBALL that the McGrath family gave him....we had to take it out so he could play with it right away and he has been playing with it everyday since then. Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the couple hours we were there it was such a beautiful morning!

Sono & Dr appt last week
I had my sono done last week and they estimate the Jackson is weighing about 5lb 14oz as of right now...YIKES!!! At my dr's appt the next day she said she would not let me go past 39wks--YEAH!! So if I don't have this kid on my own I will be enduced towards the end of June first of July. I am starting to hurt all over and am ready to see his precious little face already. Jackson will be here before we know it!! This month is going to fly by - I think we have plans every weekend. Let the summer fun begin!
Tonight is Josh's last night shift---WOOHOO!!!! We are so excited to have the evenings and weekends with him for 3mths. Brody is a daddy's little boy like no other so they are going to have a FUN summer!
OH my big sis Sarah coached her last High School Softball game for a while and it was the Championship game at State!!! THEY WON !!! For those of you who don't know her team , the St. Mary's Bears of St. Mary's, KS, won state softball last year and this year they did it again. I am so proud of her team and of course her! She is an amazing coach and the girls have a ton of respect for her. She is moving home this month and will be teaching at Imacculata(not sure on the spelling) in LV, KS ... hopefully with time she will build a great softball team for there school and we will see them win state one of these days.

27 wk Dr visit
I got to take the wonderful Glucose test this morning... I PASSED! Not that I was worried but I sure didn't want to give up my sugar. My appt went just great Jack is measuring a week ahead of what they are thinking and I am going to have another sono in a few weeks so they can double check his size. I do have to start taking iron because my level wasn't where it was suppose to be. I will go back in 3wks and then from there it will be every 2wks...I can't believe I am this far a long already.
We have finally started construction on Brody's room..LOL!! The carpet has been removed and the walls are getting painted. We have decided to keep the hardwood floors so we have some sanding to do. My plan is to have his room done by mid May but it isn't looking so good unless Josh really gets moving! We are still working on potty training and of course like every kid he has his good days and bad days. Brody can officially count to 10, spell his name and point out his name if we write it down. I have enrolled him in Pre-School at Open Door Baptist and he will start July 21st ... he will go 2 days a week for 5 hrs. I am so excited for him to be around other kids his age. We are also very excited for Easter this weekend. I can not wait to watch him hunt for easter eggs!!
Summer is right around the corner and we can not wait to get outside!! My sister is FINALLY moving home this summer for good. We are very excited she will be back and will be able to spend the summer with Brody since she has those wonderful teacher hours!! That's all for now ...

4-Wheeler FUN
It took a few trys for Brody to really enjoy his BIKE as he calls it...he loved getting on it but once it was on he hated the noise. Now he just loves it!!

Fishin Fun
We took our first fishing trip today...it was a blast. Brody just loves acting like he his fishing and he had just as much fun doing it! He wasn't too sure about touching the fish but I am sure with time that will change.

Pregnancy rash
So I started getting this miserable rash a couple weeks ago started on my stomach and slowly moved to my arms and legs. I went to the Dr wed and what do you know it's normal. My liver is releasing a toxin causing this rash - FUN! It could come and go , it could get bad who knows whats going to happen. There is nothing to do about it at this point..the Dr said drink lots of liquids and try to flush the toxins out. He also said that patients don't normally get this till about 30 wks so hopefully this isn't a sign that it's going to be worse at 30 wks. I am 21wks today lets hope it just goes away and never comes back.

20 wks
only 20 more weeks to go. Things are going great Jack is growing just like he should and is moving all over the place. I can't believe how fast time flies. I feel like I just found out I was pregnant. We are starting to clean out the spare bedroom so we can get Brody into his big boy John Deere room. It's quite the task...we don't have much storage space so it seems like our spare bedroom was the place to put something if you couldn't find a home for it. We had to sell our treadmill :( -- OK so I act sad about it but I probably only used it 10 times in the last 4 yrs..lol. Once the room is all cleaned out we are going to get some new carpet and start decorating. I already have everything we need - I think. Jack will get Brody's baby room with a few changes...like the name on the wall. Seems like things are going just as planned and moving along quite fast ... we have several things we are trying to figure out / get planned before Jack arrives so it could get interesting. We really want to take a family vacation just the three of us but we haven't quite figured out where yet and when we would actually have time to go since Josh is only off every other weekend and it seems like we have a million things going on.
A little update on Brody... HE IS A MAD MAN.. LOL... he is so much fun. He is talking more and more everyday and actually putting words together. I came home from work yesterday and he was holding his jacket yelling at dad " Outside Dadda outside" it was dinner time and it was cold so there was no way we were going outside. I kept saying we have to eat dinner first...he was not having it " No dinner, Outside momma" I was trying so hard not to laugh because he was so upset and serious. He loves to jump off the couch onto pillows (I know I know not the best idea) Dad taught him this great trick, well the other night he decided to take his tractor and ride it off the couch -- it was hilarious... I should be telling him no since it is a bad habit but I just find it too fun!!! There is never a dull moment at my house I can only imagine what it's going to be like with 2 crazy boys and there dad!! Can't wait!!!
Oh I forgot to mention we have started potty training...he is very good at telling us when he has to go #2 -- so hopefully by July we won't have any big diapers at our house.

Josh has wanted this name from the day I found out I was pregnant the first time and now he finally has his little Jack Daniel - Yes we will be calling him Jack. Now when he is in trouble and we all know he will be with the Cook last name it will be Jackson.

18 wk check-up
Went to the Dr today just for my regular visit... FUN STUFF! I only gained 2 lbs --woohoo... I was worried I am really try to make sure I eat healthy and not over do it I don't want too much weight gain. Dr checked everything and we are on the right track...baby doing good and mom doing good.... I told the Dr how I have been having some major headaches and she recommended seeing a massage therapist..OH DARN.... and if that doesn't work we will figure something else out. I was also concerned with the way my stomach had been sore and she told me it was because I was lifting too much...my weight limit is 10-15 lbs ... HELLO ... my son weighs 32LB please explain this to him.... so I have to try very hard not to lift him too much...when he is screaming up momma up momma that's going to be hard but we will see what we can do. That's it for now... hope everyone had a great week...enjoy the weekend.

The results are in ---
IT'S A BOY! We are very excited...I do have pics but my computer is messed up and I can't download them... BUT trust me I saw it from several different angles and he is for sure a boy...he is measuring about 5 days ahead of what my expected due date is ... so per sono July 6th is my due date and per Dr. July 11 is my due date ... I hoping early of course. When I had my first sono with Brody he was measuring the same as this one is so it may mean I am going to have another BIG boy!! YIKES ....Dad seems to think he gets to name him so this could be interesting...last I heard he wanted Vlad for a boy name...he is nuts... I like Eli, Waylen, Jackson, Marlen..... Josh really liked Jackson when Brody was born so he may go back to that this time too we shall see...whatever the name is I am sure it will be interesting.
Brody also had an xry of his stomach this morning ... they wanted to make sure he wasn't constipated vs. a mass ... so the results came back constipation .... which just blows my mind because he is very regular...so we are on apple juice, apple sauce, apples...anything to get it out...I know just what everyone wanted to hear..LOL!
Hopefully I will get some pics on here soon!

Busy weekend
Josh was off work this weekend and we seemed to be on the go. Brody realized how many great friends he is going to have!! Saturday we went with our friends to see Elmo they have a son that is 3mths younger then Brody his name is Myles - Brody doesn't really know who he is so we weren't really sure how well it was going to go. Well he LOVED it... he was dancing and laughing it was great. He crashed on the way home from all the excitement. I
Sunday I had a playdate with some great friends who I don't get to see as often as I think all of us would like - I miss you girls!! We met at McDonalds in Bonner so the kids could play and we could chat. It was a great time.. Gavin will be 3 in March and his favorite song is "I had a bad day" ... we had him sing it and it was the funniest/cutest thing I have ever heard he didn't miss a beat! Reese will be 4 in August and is the leader of the pack she is our little mom of the kids and the only girl - she is as cute as can be. Dylan is the same age as Brody and between the two of them we were running all over the place. I wish I could have stayed longer but of course we had super bowl plans as well. So after the playdate I headed home to get dad so we could get on the road....we had a LONG drive to good ole Gardner, KS to see some cousins! We were hoping Brody would stay alseep once we got there but of course that didn't happen. They have a little girl Kinley that is 3mths younger then Brody with the exact same personality as him...stubborn, hard headed , always up for a challenge and wanting to do anything she isn't suppose to do. Brody and her just had a BLAST together. They were fighting over toys, hugging each other and tackling each other - we have got to get them together more often. Since we got there early we decided to play a game called Farkle...it's a dice game... well the kids were suppose to be taking a nap but we ended up getting them up after an hour of both of them screaming for mom and dad... we trapped them in / as mike would put it we put them in jail..lol(not really people) so we could keep playing our game...at one point we looked down there and Brody had on Kinley's crown and then he wanted to give it to her and he was trying to put it on her it was hilarious.... of course as soon as Steph broke the camera out they stopped... then we looked down at another point and they were hugging and Brody was trying to kiss her... OK so you get the point we really had a great time.. Sorry for rambling it was just so much fun to be able to spend a weekend with our family ... it is very rare that we do so much together in one weekend...with Josh working every other weekend it's very few and far between to have this much fun in one weekend...Brody and I miss Josh very much on the weekends he is working so when he is there we just go non stop.
Well I think that's all for now... I do have pics I need to post.
One more thing -- I go Wed to find out if Brody is going to have a brother or sister...we are very excited to find out!!!
